Robin
Slattery CKD, President
With an interior design degree from Colorado Institute of Design,
Robin’s focus quickly shifted to the cabinetry portion of design.
Having learned to appreciate wood in her father’s custom woodworking
and mill shop as a child, Robin felt drawn to the wood grain and its
various textures—and the way wood can evolve into a color scheme.
Her expertise in no way ends with wood. As a Certified Kitchen
Designer (CKD) since 1987, Robin is among a group of NKBA accredited
professionals who have met the stringent requirements for being top
in the kitchen & bath industry field.
Robin combines over 20 years of practical experience with an open ear.
“The details and the client’s input are the most important aspects
of every project that I am involved with. The ability to take a
dream and carry it out from start to finish is the best way to
design for a client. In that respect, every client receives more
than 100 percent of my attention.”
Ray
Carmino Senior
Designer/Project Manager
An International Sales Manager for a leading custom technical
cabinetry manufacturer in New York, Ray brings to Modern Kitchen
Center 25+ years experience in the residential and commercial
cabinetry markets.
Servicing a consumer base that includes industry giants such as
Disney, Paramount, Sony, Boeing, CNN, etc, he has honed a capacity
for combining planned functionality with personalized, aesthetic
appeal. “Project goals are always varied. In addition, clients often
want to impart an aspect of their particular personality to the
plan. Good communication helps to determine what the list of unique
‘wants and needs’ are, to then convey a design that is as purposeful
as it is an expression of individual character.”
Ray studied Design and Planning at the University of Colorado at
Boulder and has earned 90 university credits thus far. Working with
AutoCAD and 20-20 Design Studio since 1982, he enjoys producing
digital drawings and 3D renderings to enhance the client’s
perspective of what they should expect and spotlight the particulars
that define a unique design.
Away from the office, Ray enjoys time with his wife and children,
running, reading, Science and computers.
Grant
Ketcham, Project Manager
Graduating with a degree in Business Administration from Juniata
College in Pennsylvania, Grant discovered his talent for cabinet
design after moving West. Though Grant's style is still developing,
his philosophy combines Western sensibility with the East Coast
desire for cutting edge technology and design.
"Many clients come to me with ideas from memorable places they have
seen or a dozen different clippings from magazines and want me to
create a design that incorporates them all. I enjoy being the
instrument through which a client has their ideas meld into a unique
space that primarily reflects their personality and tastes, but it
is also complimented by my own."
Grant continues to develop his skills and style through NKBA
certified courses and has completed AutoCAD Level I and Level II to
enhance his drafting ability. A former AQHA national champion
horseman, Grant enjoys riding, skiing, camping, hiking, and
photography in his spare time.
Sheri
Sloane

Sheri is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney - a
National Kitchen and Bath Association endorsed 4-year college - with
a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with an emphasis in kitchen
and bath design. In 2001, while Sheri was completing her internship
in Colorado - Colorado became her new home. As a designer, Sheri
continues to develop her skills and in January 2007 she became a
Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), a group of NKBA accredited
professionals who have met the stringent requirements for being top
in the kitchen and bath industry field. Sheri also placed 2nd
internationally in the annual NKBA Conceptual Design Category in
2000.
"I love to listen to my clients, take their
vision and develop that vision into their dream that they can
actually touch and feel. Also, each project presents new challenges
and learning from those challenges provides me the opportunity to be
a better designer."
Relatively new to the Glenwood Springs area,
Sheri is enjoying learning about the history of Glenwood Springs and
the Roaring Fork Valley. In addition, she enjoys the outdoor
activities in the area and spending time with her dog, Elliott.
